For this project, I wanted to explore how our feelings about something can change over time, even if we don’t realize it. The story is about two friends walking in the snow. At first, Caden says he doesn’t like snow he says that it’s cold, messy, and not fun anymore. But then, his friend throws a snowball and knocks him out. While unconscious, he has a flashback to when he was a kid. In the flashback, he’s building a snowman and having the best time ever. When he wakes up, something shifts in his perspective, and he finds himself liking the snow again.
I chose this storyline because it’s simple but also meaningful. A lot of people lose touch with the things they used to love when they were younger. Snow felt like a good example of this because it can go from being magical as a kid to just another hassle when you’re older. The snowball fight added a playful moment, while the flashback gave the story emotional depth.
The snow itself is a symbol of change, it’s temporary but also capable of sparking joy if you let it. In the end, this project is about remembering to appreciate the little things, even if life makes them feel less special. I hope it inspires people to reconnect with those moments of joy.
